Propaganda
Propaganda posters were put on display to encourage people to join the army and conserve food for soldiers at war.
For those who don't know what propaganda is it would be helpful for them to know that it is deliberate manipulation of public opinion generally to convince people to go to war by the use of symbols such as flags, monuments, speeches, and publications. The Canadian government was determined to help the British army to win world war two. In order to do this, the government started to encourage Canadian civilians to take part in the war industries, join the army, and change their ways of living in order to support soldiers participating in the war.
